I started hustling to improve my trading performance 5 years ago-Oh those formative years were one of the most brutal but necessary imbalances at that time. Poor sleeping habits which resulted to health issues, relationships that were cut-off, reduced performance during my corporate stint those were some deliberate sacrifices I made in order to consistently build a successful trading mindset, transition from trading Thousands to Millions, performance maintainance, constant system and mindset optimization. This contruction never stops, it never should (Be better than you were yesterday, right?). Luckily, I was blessed with great direct, indirect mentors, and also few key people (outside of trading) that pointed me in the right direction and I thank them eternally for sharing their methods, mindset, and wisdom. Trust that all the good things are being passed on generously to the next generation of traders. 🙂
Fast forward 2018-2019, its not just about me anymore, this time I have to be a competent guide and try to bring out the best and worst out of my students (destroy and create concept). I also have to accelerate their learning pace, repeat excessively on necessary techniques to really hammer in the idea, segregate what I think is the essential from the non-essential, good leadership vs great leadership, and so on. I share excessively to the best of my abilities to support my students and save time in their trading journey from going to point A to point Z. I know we have a long way to go but I was looking back at how everyone has progressed and I commend all for the trust, the consistent intensity to learn, and being resolute to train with me. Trading is a hard endeavor and I feel fulfilled once I see the fruits of your labor (kaya lets continue to participate and be active!!).
Its mind-blowing to think that every month in 2019 team SSF were able to ride some of the trades that really mattered in the market (Yay!! Ang amazing ng trades nyo guys!!) :
I want to let you know that whenever our trading library gets filled with these kinds of executions and your chart journals start to expand, my heart just jumps out of joy, always giddy, and ready to celebrate those wins with you; big or small, paper or virtual because I visualize the wolverines you would become once all of you reach that much coveted consistency. Remember this is only year 1 of your rebirth. I’m thrilled to see everyone’s progression next year and beyond!
Every quarter and year-end I practice seeing things from a different vantage point as a way of Progress Reflection; think zooming out from 10,000 feet as a way to see mine and my students’ growth like being a pilot flying an aircraft who just took off and surveying the land below. This activity helps me to appreciate everyone’s evolution and aids in my personal reflection. It also fills me with gratitude after considering how far everyone has gone from where we were a year ago as it expands my perspective. You should try it, its a great exercise for mindfulness! 🙂
Cheers to many more years of great companionship, intense learning, and trading prosperity!
